Wong Academic was founded by brothers Wesley and Wilson Wong with a shared belief that students learn best when they are taught by people who genuinely understand both the material and the challenges of learning it.
Our backgrounds are complementary: Wesley brings a foundation in biochemistry, advanced training in health sciences, clinical experience as a physician assistant, and years of tutoring experience, while Wilson brings years of classroom teaching, a background in molecular biology, and extensive experience working with high-school STEM students.
Together, we provide personalized instruction designed to help students move beyond memorization, develop a deeper understanding of challenging concepts, and build the confidence to succeed independently.

Wesley Wong, PA-C, combines a background in biochemistry, advanced health-science training, clinical experience, and years of tutoring to help students connect complex concepts to real-world applications.
Wilson Wong is a California-certified classroom teacher with a background in molecular biology, a master's degree in education, and years of experience teaching and tutoring STEM students. He brings firsthand insight into how students learn, where they struggle, and how to make complex concepts easier to understand.
We go beyond helping students complete homework. Our goal is to help students understand challenging concepts, develop effective learning strategies, and become confident, independent learners.

Built by Educators, Shaped by Experience
Wong Academic began with a simple idea: great tutoring should feel personal.
Wesley and Wilson grew up in Southern California and developed their passion for science and education through different paths. Wesley studied Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at UC Santa Barbara before pursuing a career in healthcare and earning his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Wilson studied Molecular Biology at Cal State Fullerton before earning his teaching credential and master's degree in education.
Both continued tutoring throughout their academic and professional journeys. Their shared experiences eventually led to the creation of Wong Academic in 2026—a tutoring company built around expert instruction, individualized support, and meaningful relationships with students and families.
